Neem oil is a carrier oil extracted from the neem (Azadirachta indica), a tree native to Sri Lanka, Burma, and India, and now grown in tropical regions around the world.
Neem oil contains properties like omega-6 and omega-9 essential fatty acids and vitamin E
Neem oil can aid in repelling and killing parasites like fleas, lice, mites and ticks and can also be used on hot spots, skin allergies, rashes, insect bites etc
Neem oil should only be used topically and ingestion should be avoided
Organic Neem Oil is very smelly in its natural form and certainly doesn't smell like roses, however it's completely natural and non toxic for dogs, It is quite unique and smells to me like burnt garlic with a hint of coffee and onion.
Our recipe is diluted with Fractionated Organic Coconut Oil in a ratio of 1:10
Neem Oil should never be used Neat for Dogs or Cats - must be diluted
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use our Diluted Oil directly on skin, hot spots and rub into the fur allowing to soak into the skin. Avoid your Dog licking oil in the first 30 minutues.
As Neem Oil and Coconut Oil will become solid in cold temperatures, warm up the bottle in warm/hot water to liquidfy before using and so it can get through the pump.
Do Not Microwave!
You can add lavender oil to try and mask the smell!! Just a few drops is plenty.
To keep insects at bay and to relieve mildly itching skin, make your own neem oil shampoo:
- Add a teaspoon of oil to roughly 2 tablespoons of regular dog shampoo (preferably an oat shampoo as these are gentle on dogs).
- Use it in the usual way, but try and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing it off if your pet will allow it.
You should not stop taking Veterinary medicine Treatments instead of this product without consulting your local Vet.
